Production flow of WPC Semi-crust Foam Board Making Machine:
Raw Material Handling: loading PVC resin powder, wood powder, foaming agents, stabilizers, and other additives into a high-speed mixer or blending unit to create a uniform compound.
Primary Extrusion: The mixed PVC and wood WPC compound is fed into conical double screw extruder with a specific screw design to achieve uniform melting and pressure buildup. The extruder barrel is heated to melt the PVC material effectively.
Foaming and Expansion: Foaming agents incorporated in the compound expand and create a cellular structure within the material during extrusion, resulting in a lightweight and foamed WPC board.
Die Head Design: The molten WPC foam material is pushed through a die head, which imparts the desired thickness, width, and surface texture to the foam board.
Calibration and Sizing: The extruded foam board passes through a calibration unit to control its dimensions and thickness. Sizing tools and cooling systems help ensure uniformity and consistency. and the calibration process can ensure the surface of WPC foam board to be rigid with semi-crust skin.
Cooling Conveyor: The freshly extruded WPC semi-crust foam board is transferred to a cooling conveyor to cool, allowing it to retain its final shape.
Surface Treatment: optional embossing or lamination units to apply textures, patterns, or protective coatings to the surface of the foam board.
Cutting Machine: Once the WPC semi-crust foam board is fully cooled and set, it is cut to the desired length and dimensions using a cutting machine.
